“My faith is super important to me, so I live my life for Jesus in whatever I’m doing”
One Thought
If we aren’t living for Jesus what are we really living for? There are many motives we can do things for (increase your status, to be praised, to showoff for the opposite sex, money, etc). We all want praise, we all want validation, we all want money, but at the end of the day our relationship to Jesus needs to be first. Why? Because he is worthy and he is faithful. Matthew 6:33 says “seek first the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness and all these things will be added unto you”. Do we really believe that or do we believe “seek the things of the world first because I need to get mine and once I get mine then I will thank Jesus for it”? Even when I first started doing street photography, I didn’t want to make it as Christ centered as it should be. But as I continued to pray I realized that I would be working in vain by not having him at the core of it. I trust that when Jesus is at the center of our lives he will be able to flow through us without anything blocking him. He will bless those around us and our blessing with be a natural byproduct of his goodness.
