“If I could be the good one then why not?”

One Thought

If you were made for the capacity to “do good” choose the light over darkness. In fact you were created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10). For you are God’s handiwork or “poiema” in the greek which means poem. You are the poetry, the work of art, the creative expression, the masterpiece of God in Christ Jesus made to do good works. Xavier had one poor experience and one good experience with a police officer and chose to use the good experience to propel him to become the thing he once despised. We can use our past poor experiences with people to look at others with resentment or choose grace. Jesus could have looked at all we have done to him and chose to abandon us. Rather he humbled himself, came down to earth, and suffered the suffering that we deserved because he chose grace over resentment. The Holy Spirit will give you the power to be the poem of God and choose forgiveness. When in doubt, grace is the answer.

One Question

Will you choose resentment or grace?

One Action Step

Pray for one person who has let you down and pray for their well-being. Watch how God transforms your heart.
